USIL participated in the 22nd International Symposium on Enterprise and Sustainable Development of Peru 2021

On May 14 and 15, San Ignacio de Loyola University (USIL) participated in the 22nd International Business and Sustainable Development Symposium, organized by the Peru 2021 organization. The agenda discussed the main trends, stories and visions that are changing the way to do business.

The theme of the Symposium was: "Transforming the role of the private sector", with the aim that private companies look beyond profitability to achieve an inclusive, prosperous and modern country, taking business solutions to national challenges.

On behalf of the USIL, MBA Luciana de la Fuente, executive president of this institution, participated in the panel "happiness and development". She was accompanied by experts in the field as: Jorge Yamamoto, psychologist, researcher and professor of the PUCP; Rolando Arellano, general manager of Arellano Marketing; and Mariloli Camarero, Manager of Corporate Affairs of CENCOSUD. The panel was moderated by Marcos Gonzalez, Director of the Magazine ‘Corresponsables de España’.
Through an interactive dialogue between the actors present, the conversation focused on which country you want to build within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and how the role of the private sector is key to change that paradigm.

The Symposium was attended by USIL authorities such as Raúl Diez Canseco Terry, founder and president; Dr. Ramiro Salas, president; Mg. Miu Huang Li, vice president of social responsibility; Mg. Daniel Diez Canseco, vice president of entrepreneurship; Dr. Mauricio Bustamante, advisor to the Faculty of Medicine; Mg. Luiggi Sassarini, Director of the Mechanical Engineering career; and Mg. Paula Rojas, Director of the Civil Engineering career.

The Symposium had the participation of important companies from the public and the private sector. On May 14, some of these topics were on the table: Where are we standing?, Where are we going?, The vision of Peru that we want, Responsible Investments, Happiness and Development, Transition towards a Green Economy, Times of Great Changes, Generating a water culture, etc.

On May 15, the following topics were discussed: Leading in the Unknown, Talent does not have Labels, Companies with a Purpose, Competitiveness for Sustainable Development, From Conscience to Action, etc. In this edition of the Symposium, TINKUY was present, a space that seeks to promote new forms of strategic collaboration between entrepreneurs and social entrepreneurs.
